Is a year too long to spend on one project?

Do not worry. I am not going to say "You can only do this plan if you are writing a novel." No. That is not the way I do things. If you would rather use your 219-220 words a day and write several short stories, poems, articles, anything else, throughout the year, that is completely fine. I stand by you as long as you are writing something.

Do you plan on writing a book?

Do you plan on writing a book? Do you think that you will have the concentration available to spend a lot of time trying to write a book? Do you give up on the though of writing a book after you hear how much work it is?

Well stop worrying and DO NOT give up. You have the ability to write a book. Take it slow. Write 219-220 words a day, everyday for a year. Yes that might seem like too long to do it. You might think that you want to write a book as soon as possible. That is up to you. But I know, from personal experience. That if you try doing to much at once, with anything, you will tire out. You will not want to do it. The 'do it all at once' kind of thinking should be saved for after you write a book or two.

The first day you can start writing

The first day you can start writing for this is the first of every month so December 1st right now. If you start before that you will be cheating yourself, not me. You are allowed to do as much per day as you wish as long as you start on the 1st of a month and end before that month's first happens again (eg. December 1st 2015-December 1st 2016)

The Beginning

Every company, brand, person, issue, has to start somewhere. This is the time for Writeallyear (Way) to start. Write all year is a year long event quite like NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). For those of you who may not know what NaNoWriMo is, it's an event in which many people sign up for in the month of November. People sign up for it so that they can see if they can write 50,000 words in a month which is approximately 1,667 words a day. This is a great idea and presents a great challenge for some people. It really is great. However, the problem with that is that some people don't have the time for it. It's too much of a challenge. That is why I have come up with Writeallyear. This is an event for people who have less time on their hands or even for people who have lots of time on their hands and want to write a novel but also want to do a bunch of other non-writing related things like sleep, eat, work, and watch TV (I know I want to do those things). For this challenge I want everyone participating to write 219-220 words a day. If you go over, that's fantastic. If you don't go over, there is always 364 more days in which you can catch back up!
